Milrinone Lactate is a member of a class of bipyridine inotropic/vasodilator agents with phosphodiesterase inhibitor activity. It increases the level of a chemical messenger (cAMP), which helps the smooth muscles to relax. Thus, dilates the blood vessels for better blood flow into the heart.
